When thinking about forming the habit this year of living life in the fullest possible way I couldn't be more thrilled to do so than with the man I share this life with. It also thrills me that he is also excited about what this year will bring.
Steve and I visited Bok Tower Gardens today. This was a first for both of us.
Our drive over was uneventful until we approached this curve in the road.
We got a good laugh out of this. A friend commented that they felt something of great significance should be between these signs. I've decided that it was the perfect beginning for this year. It doesn't matter where I'm coming from or where I am going, I just need to stop and enjoy what happens in between. Today! Which is the whole point of this 365 day quest!
Steve asked me tonight what my favorite part of today was and it was too hard to pick just one thing. The paths were beautiful, the grounds amazing, the views breathtaking, and the handiwork awe inspiring.
Bok Tower. 205 ft of amazing detail and craftsmanship.
These are gigantic lily pads. I felt like we were in a different time. So cool!
The words above Steve read:
Make you the world a bit better or more beautiful because you have lived in it.
This is the 18th birthday I have spent with this man and my world is more than a bit better and definitely more beautiful because he is in it! I am so truly thankful for him in my life and for the fact that he gets me and he supports me 100% in all that I do. I'm really glad he's by my side.
Our first trip to Bok Tower Gardens was wonderful! We loved it and highly recommend you pay it a visit if you've never been. If you have been, we recommend you go back. Maybe buy an annual pass, we did!

By the way, on a really cool side note, @BokTower followed me on Twitter before we even left the park and sent me this word of encouragement...
